Mrs. Hennessey is a Trustee of the Silver Thatch Pensions Fund.
Mrs. Hennessy is the Director of Compliance at the Catalyst Group and is tasked with managing the group’s global compliance function and advising on all regulatory and compliance matters. Cara trained as an accountant with KPMG (Dublin) in their business advisory practice and started her 15 year tenure in Cayman financial services as a fund accountant and subsequently Manger of RTA at Close Brothers (now Intertrust).
Following three years with Close Brothers, Cara joined DMS Governance where she spent ten years and transitioned through various roles; Finance Manager, Senior Financial Analyst, Head of Internal Audit and Director of Compliance. During her time at DMS Cara worked across numerous sectors and jurisdictions; funds fiduciary, corporate services, bank and trust, insurance, pensions and also managed the internal audit process for the European arm which included AIFM and Manco licensees.
Most recently Cara held the position of Director of Compliance Conyers Group (Cayman), overseeing the Compliance function for both the legal practice and the trust and corporate service licensees. Cara is an active member of the AML stakeholders committee run by the FCIU in Cayman, formed to enhance outreach on AML/CFT/PF topics between Government agencies and industry. Cara has represented this committee in the Turks and Caicos presenting to the Financial Services commission on the benefits of industry partnership, in the context of CFATF remediation.
