Mr. Scott Macdonald is a Trustee of the Silver Thatch Pensions Plan.

Mr. Macdonald is a partner in the Finance Group of Maples and Calder in the Cayman Islands. Mr. Macdonald joined Maples and Calder in 2005 and, prior to this, he worked for Deutsche Bank in the Cayman Islands, Hogan Lovells LLP in London and for Morton Fraser in Edinburgh. Prior to commencing his law career, Mr. Macdonald was a police officer with the Northumbria Police Force in the UK.

Mr. Macdonald holds BAcc (Hons), Finance and LLB degrees and the Legal Practice Diploma from the University of Dundee. He was admitted as (i) a solicitor in Scotland in 2001 (does not practise as a solicitor in Scotland); (ii) a solicitor in England and Wales in 2002 (does not practise as an English solicitor); and (iii) as an attorney-at-law in the Cayman Islands in 2005.

Mr. Macdonald is a member of the Cayman Islands Law Society and the Law Society of England and Wales, and has served as a director of the Cayman Islands National Squash Association since 2009.
