Mr. Carlyle McLaughlin Jr. is a Trustee of the Silver Thatch Pensions Plan and serves as Chairman.

Mr. McLaughlin is a retired senior partner of Ernst & Young, having been with that firm and its predecessors for 25 years.

He graduated from the International College of the Cayman Islands (ICCI) with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and from Barry University, Miami, Florida, with a Master of Business Administration degree. In 1980, he received his professional qualification as a certified public accountant, being, at that time, only the third Caymanian to do so. He is a current member of the State of Colorado CPAs, the American Institute of CPAs, and the Cayman Islands Society of Professional Accountants (CISPA).

Mr. McLaughlin has served in many leadership positions with various boards in the Cayman Islands. These included appointments as Deputy Chairman of the Immigration Board, Council Member of CISPA, Director of the National Drug Council, and Chairman of the National Pensions Board.

Mr. McLaughlin has served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Silver Thatch Pensions Plan since its inception.
